49ft Narrowboat
The manufacturer of this
boat is also unknown but
were advised that the
forward end is the stern of

a butty welded to the after end of an engine driven
narrowboat. Fitted out by the previous owner, we were also
told the boat was rebottomed after 1988.
The boat is a traditional narrowboat with steel hull and cabin.
From forward to aft, the boat has a 5ft fore deck, including
stem post , over the coal storage locker. Aft is 5ft 9” long
self draining well deck which has the water storage locker In
the forward port corner.
The cabin is approximately 35ft 3” long. The forward part of
the cabin is open plan with the galley and is approximately
15ft 9” long with a squirrel solid fuel stove.
Aft of the galley is the toilet compartment 4ft 9” long, situated
across the boat with doors at each end to provide necessary
privacy. This compartment contains a wash hand basin, toilet
area with chemical toilet and a shower.
The Paloma water heater is mounted on the after bulkhead.
Next there is access to engine compartment 5ft 9” long which
has a Lister air cooled engine.
